Your Fax DTD Dec 18, ’87 RE the subject well received and noted with great concerns. That subject has been reported to our top management which has been placing importance on the project. However, it is regretful that we couldn’t correspond to your expectation of the committed delivery in spite of arduous effort due to the limit of our machine capacity.

Your indication of our company’s purposed delay of the Freeport mill shell in order to better serve other customers is not true and it is our fault if our people have misled you that way. As you are well aware, we have very limited machining capacity and machining orders have been filed up in a row due to labor dispute.

When you were here around mid November, we were quite optimistic in clearing the machining demand orderly in completing machining of the Freeport mill shell O/A Dec 15, 1987. However, machine got a frequent shutdown due to heavy use and some orders we had given to local machining co. were cancelled and returned to us aggravating our machining load. We’ve machining sub-order to Japanese and Singaporean co. But we couldn’t find out any relevant co.

We are doing our utmost to deliver the Freeport mill shell ASAP. But we haven’t fixed idea and schedule. We will let you know as soon as schedule is fixed.
