LOOK AGAIN AND CONSECRATE

 “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is,

 and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you,

O ye of little faith?”

Matthew 6:30

A simple statement of Jesus is always a puzzle to us if we are not simple. How are we going to be simple with the simplicity of Jesus? By receiving His Spirit, recognizing and relying on Him, obeying Him as He brings the word of God, and life will become amazingly simple. “Consider,” says Jesus, “how much more your Father Who clothes the grass of the field will clothe you, if you keep your relationship right with Him.” Every time we have gone back in spiritual communion it has been because we have impertinently known better than Jesus Christ. We have allowed the cares of the world to come in, and have forgotten the “much more” of our Heavenly Father.

“Behold the fowls of the air”—their one aim is to obey the principle of life that is in them and God looks after them. Jesus says that if you are rightly related to Him and obey His Spirit that is in you, God will look after your “feathers.”

“Consider the lilies of the field”—they grow where they are put. Many of us refuse to grow where we are put, consequently we take root nowhere. Jesus says that if we obey the life God has given us, He will look after all the other things. Has Jesus Christ told us a lie? If we are not experiencing the “much more,” it is because we are not obeying the life God has given us. How much time have we taken up worrying God with questions when we should have been absolutely free to concentrate on His work? Consecration means the continual separating of myself to one particular thing. We cannot consecrate once and for all. Am I continually separating myself to consider God every day of my life?

 

   O Lord, I praise Thee for the revelation of Thy

supreme Fatherhood that dawns on me through the

grace of the Lord Jesus. Oh, that I may be the child of

my Father in heaven!

다시 보고 성별하라

“오늘 있다가 내일 아궁이에 던져지는 들풀도 하나님이 이렇게

                 입히시거든 하물며 너희일까보냐 믿음이 작은 자들아?”

마태복음 6:30

 

예수님의 단순한 말씀은 우리가 만일 소박하고 단순하지 않으면 우리에게 항상 수수께끼처럼 들립니다. 예수님의 단순성과 같이 우리가 어떻게 하면 단순해질까요? 주님의 성령을 받고 주님을 인정하고 주님을 신뢰하고 하나님의 말씀을 주님께서 이르신 대로 주님에게 순종함으로써 삶은 놀라울 정도로 단순해질 것입니다. “생각하여 보라,”라고(마 6:28) 예수님께서 말씀하십니다, “너희가 만일 하나님과 올바른 관계를 계속 유지한다면, 들의 풀을 입히시는 너희 아버지께서 하물며 너희를 입히시지 않겠느냐.” 우리가 영적 교제에 있어서 후퇴할 때마다 그 이유는 우리가 주제넘게도 예수 그리스도보다 더 잘 안다고 하면서 엉뚱하게 알고 있었기 때문입니다. 우리는 세상의 염려가 생활 속에 들오도록 놔뒀고 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지께서 주시는 훨씬 많은 것을 잊어버렸습니다.

“공중의 새를 보라”(마 6:26). 새들의 주요 목적은 그들 속에 있는 생명의 원칙에 따르는 것입니다. 그러면 하나님께서 그들을 돌보십니다. 너희가 만일 하나님과 올바르게 관계를 맺고 너희 안에 계시는 성령께 순종하면 하나님께서 너희 “깃털들”을 돌보실 것이라고 예수님께서 말씀하십니다.

“들의 백합화를 생각하여 보라”(마 6:28). 백합화는 심겨진 그 자리에서 자랍니다. 우리 중 다수는 우리의 현재 위치에서 성장하기를 거부합니다. 결과적으로 우리는 아무데서도 뿌리를 내리지 못 합니다. 우리가 만일 하나님께서 주신 생명에 순종하면 주님께서 다른 것 모두를 돌보실 것이라고 예수님께서 말씀하십니다. 예수 그리스도께서 우리에게 거짓말을 하신 적이 있습니까? 우리가 만일 “훨씬 더 많은 것”을 체험하고 있는 중이 아니라면 그것은 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 생명에 우리가 순종하고 있지 않기 때문입니다. 우리가 철저히 자유롭게 주님의 사역에 마땅히 몰두해야 할 때에 이의를 제기하면서 하나님께 걱정 끼쳐드리는데 우리가 얼마나 많은 시간을 소비했습니까? 성별이란 내 자신을 분리하여 특별한 어떤 한 가지 일에 끊임없이 헌신하는 것을 뜻합니다. 우리는 단번에 성별 할 수는 없습니다. 나는 끊임 없이 내 자신을 분리하여 헌신함으로써 나 사는 동안 매일 하나님을 생각하고 있는가?

 

    오오 주님, 주 예수님의 은총을 통해 깨닫게 된 주님의

지고한 부성의 계시로 인해 주님을 제가 찬송합니다. 오오,

제가 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 아이가 되게 하옵소서!
