0425 INSTANT IN SEASON=때를 얻을 때 즉시

 

INSTANT IN SEASON

"Be instant in season, out of season."

                                                                                                                 2 Timothy 4:2

 

 

   Many of us suffer from the morbid tendency to be instant “out of season.” The season does not refer to time, but to us. “Be instant in season, out of season,” whether we feel like it or not. If we do only what we feel inclined to do, some of us would do nothing for ever and ever. There are unemployables in the spiritual domain, spiritually decrepit people, who refuse to do anything unless they are supernaturally inspired. The proof that we are rightly related to God is that we do our best whether we feel inspired or not.

   one of the great snares of the Christian worker is to make a fetish of his rare moments. When the spirit of God gives you a time of inspiration and insight, you say—"Now I will always be like this for God." No, you will not, God will take care you are not. Those times are the gift of God entirely. You cannot give them to yourself when you choose. If you say you will only be at your best, you become an intolerable drag on God; you will never do anything unless God keeps you consciously inspired. If you make a god of your best moments, you will find that God will fade out of your life and never come back until you do the duty that lies nearest, and have learned not to make a fetish of your rare moments.

 

 

   Lord, extricating and beautifying are the two things

   my soul most needs today. To Thee I come as an

   incarnate need of Thee as saviour and Lord. Repair all

   the loss of spiritual bloom and sensitiveness to Thee

   that I may be the right influence for Thee here.

때를 얻을 때 즉시

"때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 항상 힘쓰라."

                                                                                                             디모데후서 4:2

 

 

   우리들 중 다수는 때가 아닌데도 즉시 행하려는 병적인 성향으로 인해 고통을 받는다. 때는 시간을 말하는 것이 아니고 우리를 말하는 것이다. 즉, 우리가 좋아하든 싫어하든, "때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 항상 힘쓰라,"는 것이다. 만일 우리가 하고 싶은 것만을 행한다면 우리들 중에는 영원히 아무것도 행하지 않으려는 사람이 있을 것이다. 영적으로 노쇠하여 쓸 수 없는 사람들이 영적 영역에 존재하는데, 그들은 초자연적으로 감동 받지 않으면 어떠한 것도 행하기를 거부한다. 우리가 하나님과 올바른 관계에 놓여있다는 증거는 좋고 싫고를 떠나 우리가 최선을 다 하는 것이다.

   그리스도인 사역자의 큰 올가미들 중 하나는 그가 드물게 만난 순간들을 맹목적으로 숭배하는 것이다. 성령께서 여러분에게 영감과 통찰력의 시간을 주실 때 여러분은 “이제 나는 하나님을 위해서 항상 이와 같이 될 거야.”라고 말한다. 아니요, 여러분은 그렇게 되지 않을 것이다. 하나님께서 여러분이 그렇게 되지 않도록 돌보실 것이다. 그러한 시간들은 전적으로 하나님께서 베푸시는 선물이다. 여러분이 선택할 때 여러분 스스로 그것들을 획득할 수는 없다. 여러분이 최선을 다 하고 있을 뿐이라고 여러분이 말하는 경우에 여러분은 하나님에게 참을 수 없는 방해자가 된다. 알아차릴 정도로 하나님께서 여러분에게 계속 영감을 주시지 않는다면 여러분은 아무것도 하지 않을 것이다. 만일 여러분이 가장 좋아하는 순간들을 우상으로 만든다면 하나님은 여러분의 삶에서 사라질 것이며 여러분이 가장 가까이 놓여 있는 의무를 수행하고, 또한 여러분이 드물게 만나는 순간들을 맹목적으로 숭배하는 것을 중단할 때까지는 하나님께서 결코 돌아오시지 않을 것임을 여러분이 알게 될 것이다.

 

 

   주님, 오늘 나의 영혼이 가장 필요로 하는 두 가지는 구별하고

   아름답게 하는 것입니다. 구세주와 주권자이신 주님을 육신이

   필요로 하여 제가 주님께 나아갑니다. 주님을 향한 영적

   성숙과 민감성의 상실을 모두 회복시켜 여기서 제가 주님을 위해

   올바른 영향력을 행사할 수 있도록 역사하시옵소서.
