OFFERED?

“I am already being poured out as a drink offering.”

2 Timothy 4:6, RV marg.

 

“I am ready to be offered.” It is a transaction of will, not of sentiment. Tell God you are ready to be offered; then let the consequences be what they may be, there is no strand of complaint now, no matter what God chooses. God puts you through the crisis in private, no one person can help another. Externally the life may be the same; the difference is in will. Go through the crisis in will, then when it comes externally there will be no thought of the cost. If you do not transact in will with God along this line, you will end in awakening sympathy for yourself.

“Bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.” The altar means fire—burning and purification and insulation for one purpose only, the destruction of every affinity that God has not started and of every attachment that is not an attachment in God. You do not destroy it, God does; you bind the sacrifice to the horns of the altar; and see that you do not give way to self-pity when the fire begins. After this way of fire, there is nothing that oppresses or depresses. When the crisis arises, you realize that things cannot touch you as they used to do. What is your way of fire?

Tell God you are ready to be offered, and God will prove Himself to be all you ever dreamed He would be.

 

  “But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and His

love toward man, appeared,…”-O Lord, that word

haunts me; yet how little of Thy kindness and Thy love

do I exhibit towards others!

당신은 전제로 드릴 준비가 되어있는가?

“전제와 같이 내가 벌써 부어지고 있다.”

디모데후서 4:6

 

“나는 전제로 드려질 준비가 되어 있다.”는 것은 의지로 가능한 것이지 감상으로 이루어지는 것이 아닙니다. 당신이 희생 제물로 드려질 준비가 되어있다고 하나님께 말씀하세요. 그런 다음 하나님께서 무엇을 선택하시든지 그 결과를 당연한 것으로 받아들이면 이제는 아무런 불만이 없습니다. 하나님께서는 당신의 위기 극복 역량을 다른 사람이 없는 데서 사적으로 실험하십니다. 하나님 외에는 다른 사람을 도울 수 있는 사람이 없습니다. 외적으로는 삶이 동일하게 보일 수 있습니다. 차이는 의지 안에 있습니다. 의지로 위기를 통과하십시오. 그런 다음에는 외부적으로 위기가 발생할 때 그 희생 대가를 생각하지 않고 담대하게 될 것입니다. 당신이 만일 이러한 방침에 따라 의지로 하나님과 일을 추진하지 않는다면 당신은 자신에 대한 연민만 불러일으키고 다른 성과 없이 끝날 것입니다.

“줄로 희생 제물을 제단의 뿔에 묶어라.” 제단은 불을 의미합니다. 즉 불로 태우고 정화시키고 한가지 목적만을 위하여 격리시키고, 하나님께 근거하지 않은 모든 친밀감과 애착의 철저한 파괴를 의미하는 것입니다. 당신이 아닌 하나님께서 파괴하십니다. 당신은 희생 제물을 제단의 뿔에 묶고 불이 타기 시작할 때 자기 연민에 무너지지 않도록 하십시오. 이렇게 불로 태우고 난 후에는 압박하거나 우울하게 만드는 것이 아무것도 없습니다. 위기가 발생할 때 옛날처럼 그것들이 당신을 위협할 수 없다는 것을 당신이 깨닫게 됩니다. 당신이 불로 완전히 태워 버리는 것은 무엇입니까?

당신이 희생 제물로 드려질 준비가 되어있다고 하나님께 말씀하세요. 그러면 하나님께서는 당신이 하나님께 기대하여 꿈꿨던 모든 것을 가능하게 하시는 존재임을 스스로 보여주실 것입니다.

 

   “그러나 우리의 구원자 하나님의 자비와 사람을 향한 하나님의

사랑이 나타났을 때,…” 오오 주님 그 말씀이 제 뇌리에 계속

떠오릅니다. 다른 사람들을 향해 주님의 자비와 사랑을 제가

드러내 보이는 것이 아직도 얼마나 빈약한지요!
