IS HE REALLY LORD?

“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life

         dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and

        the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify

       the gospel of the grace of God.”

Acts 20:24

 

Joy means the perfect fulfillment of that for which I was created and regenerated, not the successful doing of a thing. The joy Our Lord had lay in doing what the Father sent Him to do, and He says-“As My father hath sent Me, even so am I sending you.” Have I received a ministry from the Lord? If so, I have to be loyal to it, to count my life precious only for the fulfilling of that ministry. Think of the satisfaction it will be to hear Jesus say-“Well done, good and faithful servant”; to know that you have done what He sent you to do. We have all to find our niche in life, and spiritually we find it when we receive our ministry from the Lord. In order to do this we must have companied with Jesus; we must know Him as more than a personal Saviour. “I will show him how great things he must suffer for My sake.”

“Lovest thou Me?” Then-“Feed My sheep.” There is no Choice of service, only absolute loyalty to Our lord’s commission; loyalty to what you discern when you are in closest contact with God. If you have received a ministry from the Lord Jesus, you will know that the need is never the call: the need is the opportunity. The call is loyalty to the ministry you received when you were in real touch with Him. This does not imply that there is a campaign of service marked out for you, but it does mean that you will have to ignore the demands for service along other lines.

 

   O Lord, I beseech thee for sustaining strength and simple joy.

Keep me humble-minded in motive and design that nothing of

the superior person may be mine.

그분이 정말 주님인가?

“내가 달려갈 길과 주 예수께 받은 사명 곧 하나님의 은혜의 복음을 증언하는 일을

             마치려 함에는 나의 생명조차 조금도 귀한 것으로 여기지 아니하노라.”

사도행전 20:24

 

기쁨은 어떤 일을 성공적으로 수행한 것에 대한 것이 아니고 내가 창조되고 영적으로 중생한 목적의 완전한 성취에 대한 것을 의미합니다. 우리 주님은 아버지 하나님께서 이 땅에 내려 보내신 목적을 달성하는 일에 존재가치를 두고 있었습니다. 그리하여 “내 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 그렇게 보내고 있다,”고 주님께서 이르십니다. 나는 주님으로부터 사역에 대한 소명을 받았습니까? 만일 그렇다면 그 사역의 완수를 위해서만 나의 생명을 귀중하게 사용하기 위해서 내가 그 사역에 충성을 다하지 않으면 안 됩니다. “잘하였도다 착하고 충성된 종아.”라고 예수님께서 말씀하시는 것을 듣게 되는 기쁨을 생각해보십시오. 당신이 주님으로부터 받은 사명을 당신이 달성했다는 것을 알았을 때의 기쁨 말입니다. 우리는 모두 삶에서 우리의 적소를 찾아내지 않으면 안 됩니다. 우리가 주님으로부터 사역에 대한 부르심을 받을 때 우리는 영적으로 그 적소를 발견하는 것입니다. 이 사명을 완수하기 위해서는 예수님과 반드시 동행해야 합니다. 우리는 개인적인 구세주 이상의 존재인 예수님에 관해서 배우지 않으면 안 됩니다. “그가 내 이름을 위하여 얼마나 큰 고난들을 겪어야 하는지를 내가 그에게 보여주리라”(행 9:126).

“네가 나를 사랑하느냐?” 그리고 나서 “나의 양을 먹이라.” 거기에는 섬김의 선택은 없습니다. 우리 주님의 명령에 대한 절대적인 충성만 있을 뿐입니다. 당신이 하나님을 가장 가깝게 만날 때 깨닫는 것에 대해 충성해야 합니다. 당신이 만일 주 예수님으로부터 사역을 받았다면 필요한 것은 소명이 아님을 알게 될 것입니다. 필요한 것은 기회입니다. 소명은 당신이 주님을 실제로 만나는 중에 받은 사역에 대해 충성하라는 것입니다. 이것은 섬김을 위한 어떤 캠페인이 당신을 위해 지정되어 있다는 뜻이 아니고 섬김에 대해서 주님께서 지정해주시지 않은 다른 방침에 따른 요구들은 무시해야 된다는 것을 의미합니다.

 

    오오 주님, 힘과 단순한 기쁨을 제가 계속 유지할 수 있도록

도와주시옵소서. 동기와 계획에 있어서 제 마음을 겸손하게 하셔서

우월한 사람이라는 교만이 없도록 계속 지켜주시옵소서.
